I absolutely love Hug Hess! They have beer bread and home made raspberry butter that is devine! Love their barbeque chicken salad and their chocolate chip pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting, oh my gosh I'm hungry just thinking about it. And don't leave without trying their brittle, it's the best I've ever tasted.
Best French Dip and Clam Chowder I've ever had. Clam Chowder was thick and chunky. The Aus Ju was light and seasoned. The cheese on the French Dip (added cost, but highly recommended) was at the perfect melting temperature.
Our waitress Taylor was very nice. There is a good variety of food available. I️ got the blue cheese burger which came with steak fries and a salad. The burger was two small patties that were a bit over done but the bun was soft and the flavor was good. The restaurant is cozy and quiet.
I had the boneless BBQ pork ribs. The meat was good and tender and had plenty of bbq sauce (perhaps too much) with a cup of bbq sauce on the side. Boneless ribs basically means a pile of pork. The customer service was a bit slow and they didn't have the lemonade I wanted.
We really like this place- especially for take-out. The Mexican club wrap is super good and you can't beat the beer bread. They offer an array of seriously yummy baked goods and I'd be a horrible person if I didn't tell you that you haven't lived until you've had one of their peanut butter bars. Listen to what I just said...YOU HAVEN'T LIVED UNTIL YOU'VE HAD ONE OF THEIR PEANUT BUTTER BARS. You're welcome.
